About Us

Established in 1946, Wilson Specialties Inc., has been providing quality industrial lumber products for over 60 years. In 1995 Wilson Specialties purchased Canfield Manufacturing, who at the time, manufactured Hickory wood handles for hammers, picks and axes. While having two independent firms made sense at the time, eventually Wilson Specialties moved its operations to the Canfield facility, located in Canfield, OH. And shortly thereafter, it operated as one company, Canfield Manufacturing Company, Inc.

Today, Canfield is an industrial lumber & plastics fabricator and supplier, marketing products into the Steel, Electrical, Rail and Casting industries. Our products are used as wear surfaces, supports, material containment units, carriers, and more. We use various species of lumber, either Kiln Dried or Green, in hardwoods and softwoods. We utilize industrial planers, cut-to-length saws, rip saws, laminators, band saws, panel saws, drill presses, and re-saws to form and fabricate most parts. Our attention to accuracy and quality ensures the customer a superior part with every order.
